The Broken, a mercenary guild stationed in the mid-rim, had sensed the way the political climate of the Empire and deemed it necessary to move their operations to a more remote location. The idea was to move to one location, while sending some of their greener recruits Ahzoth, Mako Lex, Deimos, and Morokei, to lay a false trail for any Imperial spies.
The group was sent to Socorro, a smuggler’s haven to plant the false trail. While there, they witnessed the murder of the Fel Imperial princess at the hands of Darth Talon. They also met a wise and well-traveled old Duros named Kyvar Ness who had many astrogation charts that even the Empire was not aware of. Finally, they were caught in a vicious gang war between the Nightshades and the The Rogues of Belluko.
After returning to the Broken, Captain Moryul H’zard sent the group to Ruusan to investigate the planet as a potential base of operations. The group set out to explore the abandoned and dilapidated Fort Nowhere. It was there that they found the bones of the long-dead citizens had been carefully reconstructed and placed such that they never died. After they searching through they fort, they also found 3 pieces to the The Puzzle of the Valley of the Jedi. Finally, they ran into an old maintenance droid whose faulty programming led it to tend to the dead citizens. It attacked the party, but they were able to defeat it. In the end, the group agreed that this town would be an ideal base.
After the Broken dug themselves in, the captain set themselves on a scouting mission. This worked out well for the group as they wanted to decipher the puzzle and see where it lead. After a difficult trek through the wastes, they reached a cave set within a large stone structure. There, they faced a mural of an ancient Jedi battle. The puzzle challenged those sensitive to the Force and fed on their base passions. Fortunately, the group was able to solve the puzzle and enter the Valley of the Jedi. Once there, they saw they were not alone. Darth Talon was there, along with Darth Nihl. They were searching for something. Once they left, a third stranger revealed herself. A Netti Jedi named Keyara Nizari. She revealed that she was the one who left the clues to her location. She knew would-be Jedi would eventually come to Ruusan to seek its secrets. She was also mortally injured long ago, and sought the comfort of the temple to take root. She bonded with Deimos, Ahzoth, and Mako, and agreed to teach them the ways of the Force.
Captain Moryul had another mission to give the group. A contact of his caught wind of a surplus of Droids. The captain figured they could broker a deal on behalf of the Fel Empire and the Broken would make a percentage of the cut. So they eventually made their way to The Shadow Raptor and met her captain Hylo Sortuli. After debriefing the group was escorted to Port Tooga by Bratikka and LE-LU. Port Tooga proved interesting. They met a famous schockboxer, ran afoul with a bounty hunter, and finally brokered a deal with Shyndi Oglerk for some droids. With the droids secure, they made their way back to the Shadow Raptor to collect their payment.
After debriefing the ship ran afoul of a black hole and they were nearly pulled in with it. The droids the group purchased her sabotaged by the Sith Empire and were taking over the ship. Fortunately, the group and a small handful of survivors made it out. Once they dispensed with the crew, they group returned to Ruusan to give the captain the bad news. But not before stopping at Athiss where they discovered the Sith were excavating an ancient tomb of Darth Zannah. There they defeated Vul Isen, a Mad Scientist for the Sith, and collected crystals to make their own lightsabers.
Once back on Ruusan, they found the Captain to be in a foul mood. The Fel Empire had heard of the mishap aboard the Shadow Raptor. They requested the Broken to explain things. After some debate, the group agreed and traveled Taris to meet their contact. Once on Taris, Ahzoth met a familiar figure. His old master, Jayan. He was drunk in Gasdon’s pub. Ahzoth demanded answers so asked the Captain to take Jayan back to Ruusan so they can question him when they return. However, after the departed for the heart of the Fel Empire, they discovered that Jayan had snuck aboard.
Once on Bastion, the Jayan was taken to a prison hold while the others went to a debriefing room in the Imperial Palace. While discussions were taken place, Jayan had removed once of his cybernetic arms and used the bomb inside to break free. At the same time, an Sith Imperial fleet began to attack the system. The group fought through the invasion in time to see Jayan attempting to escape with a powerful artifact known as the Telos Holocron. The group split up, one group fighting Darth Talon, while the other trying to catch Jayan before he flees. With some trouble, both groups managed to defeat their targets and the Telos Holocron was secured.
The battle began to pitch in favor of the Sith, so the group felt it was prudent to flee. Securing a Imperial ship, they blasted their way through the battle and fled into hyperspace. Once they were sure they were clear, they made their way to Ord Mantel to change rides and catch their breaths. It was their they found out that Deimos and Mako both had 50 million credit bounties on their heads after offending Darth Krayt. It seemed that one bounty hunter was already on their trail. After a brief fight in the streets, they found out that the hunter was actually Cree Korvill, a mentor of Mako’s. She informed the group that she was smuggling Jedi survivors to a hidden Jedi Temple. Blizz said his good byes and Ahzoth, Mako, and Deimos, along with their captive Jayan, made their way to the hidden temple.
Once at the temple, they met with the Jedi masters to discuss the fate of the Telos Holocron. The masters agreed that the Holocron would be safest with them, but in the wake of fall of the Fel Empire, they also agreed to lock down the temple and allow no one to leave or enter until they deemed otherwise. In privacy, a recovered Jayan told Ahzoth about his legacy, he was descending from a Sith lord known as Naga Sadow, whose temple is on Koribaan.
In the cover of darkness, Cree smuggled the group off the temple. Secretly, they headed to Corellia, so Deimos could avenge his brother’s death and kill the crime lord, a snivvian known as Vargus Gint. After landing on Corellia, the group met up with a Chiss known as Vexx who agreed to help them infiltrate Gint’s palace. Once inside, the group had to fight through Gint’s considerable defenses and his absurd decor. In the end, Gint had several slaves at his mercy, and the group destroyed him without second thought.
Once that business was over Vexx and the group left with Cree to return to Ruusan where they intend to repair the old ship The Moldy Crow and use it to travel to Korriban to learn more of Ahzoth’s heritage. But what else could be waiting for them?
